TROY Randy D. Fitch, 56, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy with his loving family by his side. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Charles W. Fitch Sr. and Theresa Carr Fitch. Randy attended St. Peter's School and was a 1977 graduate of Lansingburgh High School. His first employment was with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice where he worked for ten years as a clerk. For the past 30 years Randy was employed by the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) where he initially worked as a STAR bus driver in Schenectady. In time he was offered and accepted the position of supervisor in Albany and, from there, was promoted to the position of assistant superintendent and superintendent. His last position was superintendent in Troy. Randy had also worked as a school bus driver for Stillwater Central Schools. He had served as the president of the Hillside Mobile Home Homeowners Association, was involved in Democratic politics in Stillwater and enjoyed visiting flea markets and craft fairs with his sister, Linda. He is survived by the mother of his children, Marsha J. McDowell Fitch (Gregory) of Scotia; his children, Mandy Fitch (Henry) and Lacey Fitch (Johnny) both of Albany; his sister, Linda M. (Edward) Markham of Watervliet; his brothers, Gary (Marylou) Fitch of Houston, Texas and Mark (Brenda) Fitch of Ballston Lake as well as several nieces and nephews and his dearest friend, Fred Person. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles W. Fitch Jr., whose wife Pam survives of Mechanicville. Friends are invited to visit with Randy's family on Friday, November 20, 2015, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Parker Brothers Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. A service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford.
