Jim adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He always had a smile on his face and he treasured life to the fullest. He was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals' baseball team.

James Dallas "Jim" Dobson, 59, Centertown, died Jan. 10, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Tipton, a son of Elbert and Orpha Dix Dobson. He was married April 28, 1961, in Centertown, to Marilyn Siebert, who survives at the home.

A 1959 graduate of Russellville High School, he worked for Osage Outdoor Advertising and Weatherby Outdoor Advertising. He then worked as a custodian for the Jefferson City public schools until his retirement.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jeffery Dallas Dobson, Russellville, and James Douglas Dobson, Jefferson City; one daughter, Kimberly Sue Schlup, California; one sister, Susan Greer, California; one half sister, Louise Kramel, Liberty; one half brother, Bill Dobson, state of Michigan; and five grandchildren.
