Republic,- Scott D. Burton, age 46 of 325 Hemlock St, Republic passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 11, 2015 in Mackinaw City, MI.
Scott was born February 20, 1969 in Pontiac, MI. He graduated from Lake City High School, class of 1986 and served in the Armed Forces during the late 1980's. Scott was passionate of restoring antique vehicles along with his car collection. Target shooting and cooking were also things Scott enjoyed, he will be remembered for his wonderful lasagna and wet burritos. He was an avid Lions fan and watched weekly in disgust as the Lions would lose.
Scott is survived by his wife Lori Burton of Republic, his mother Linda Burton of Jacksonville, FL, 2 sons: Jordan Burton of Republic and Anthony Burton of New Egypt, NJ, a brother Billie Burton of Jacksonville and 3 step sisters: Karen, Darlene, and Bobbi. Scott was preceded in death by his father Willard Burton.
Honoring Scott's wishes, cremation will take place and a private service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Republic Sportsman Club or the Republic Twp EMS in memory of Scott.
