James Howard Rayburn of Bremen passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 in a Rome hospital. He was born August 28, 1946 in Dickson County, Tennessee, son of the late John Thomas Rayburn and Bertha Lee Baker Rayburn. Mr. Rayburn was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was employed in the construction business. He was a veteran of the United States Marines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Snow Rayburn and a sister, Gail Puckett.
Survivors include daughters, Melissa and Michael Brown of Tallapoosa, Melaney and Arnold Saxton, Bremen, Linda and Gary Shadownes of Dickson, TN; sons, Michael and Brittany Rayburn of Tallapoosa, James and Kim Rayburn of Ottawa, IL, Tommy and Tracy Rayburn, Ashland City, TN, Charles Rayburn of Dickson, TN; three sisters, Addie, Shirley and Bobbie; brothers, Donnie Rayburn, Jerry Rayburn and Ronnie Rayburn, all of Dickson, TN; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at graveside with Dr. J. Howard Mills officiating. Michael Rayburn, John Rayburn, Charles Rayburn, Tommy Rayburn, James Rayburn, Michael Brown and Shane Rayburn will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Pineywoods Baptist Church Cemetery.
