She lovingly raised and is survived by her five children, Norma Joy Harber (Skip), Norman Jerry Nix, Jr., Becky Nix Verdon (Larry), Barbara George (Tim) and Deborah Roberts (Skip) all of Ocala. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Jerry Nix, Sr.; parents, Edward Burch Wright and Edith Estelle (True-love) Wright; siblings, Lucille Steele, Alice Dixon and Steven Balint.
Mrs. Nix enjoyed spending time with her family, she also enjoyed everyone she met and was an avid reader. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala, the Moose Club and Eastern Star of Ocala.
She didn't want to have a service but her children will be hosting a small get-together on November 28, 2015 from 2-4PM at the Wayside Park Boat Basin. Please no flowers, but donations to Hospice of Marion County "Legacy House" would be appreciated. What she would like best is showing respect for her by performing random acts of kindness, thinking of her giving and passing it on. If you plan on attending please contact Becky at [email protected] or Norma at [email protected]. In case of inclement weather, the gathering will be held at 700 NE 142 Ave, Silver Springs 34488. A condolence message may be left at www.robertsfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements by Roberts Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Ave, Ocala 622-4141.
