Nick was born on November 1, 1936 in Stearns, Minnesota.
Nick is preceeded in death by his parents, Nick Harry Karras, Irene Kintzley and sister Rosemary. Nick is survived by the love of his life, Bess Karras (Barfield).
They met 56 years ago in Southport, Florida while Nick was at Tyndall AFB on temporary duty. Nick and Bess were happily married in 1960.
Nick is also survived by his daughter Tina Karras (Kat) of Las Vegas, NV, his sons Chuck Karras (Jini) of Vancouver, WA, Nick Jernigan (Dena) of Albuquerque, NM, his grandchildren Kaylyn, Carson, Maddox, Melissa, Nicohle, Sonya, sister-in-law Reba Williams (Ralph), brother-in-law TL Bryant and his sisters Pat and Victoria of Minnesota.
Nick was active duty for the United States Air Force for 14 years, serving his country during Vietnam and Korean War. He retired from Hughes Aircraft in 1992. After retiring Nick and Bess moved back to Southport, Florida for 10 years and returned to Las Vegas, NV in 2003. Nick was an avid poker player at Arizona Charlies while his wife played bingo. Nick was a humble man who enjoyed reading and watching old westerns. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his wisdom. Nick will truly be missed and NEVER be forgotten. His spirit lives on FOREVER.....
