Mr. Walter “Cud” Fleming 81 of Chapmanville, WV died on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born on May 1, 1934 at Chapmanville, WV the son of the late, Elmer and Virgie Akers Fleming.
Cud was a retired construction worker. He enjoyed and loved riding horses, showing horses, and attending horse shows, where he walked away with many ribbons and trophies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael “Bunny” Fleming, brothers, Wilburn Todd Fleming, Sidney “Sid” Fleming, Thomas “Tommy” Fleming, sister Clara Fleming Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita Ruth Kirk Fleming, daughter, Charlotte (Gary) York, sons, Ronnie (Ethel) Fleming, Johnny Fleming, and Marty Fleming, grandchildren, Crystal Bohr, Chris Fleming, Maggie Farley, Shannon Fleming, Jessica Fleming, and Zach Justice, great-grandchildren, Travis and Savannah Bohr, and Maycie Farley, brothers, Harold Fleming, Raymond Fleming, and David Fleming, sister, Dorothy Fleming Hall, several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
Services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV with Rev. Manasses Hensley Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV.
Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
