Philip D. Amoroso, 60, of 1370 Fox Hollow Road died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, in the Williamsport Hospital emergency room.

He retired in May from Textron after 35 years. He was a member of the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins, Woolrich; Pete’s Shanty Hunting Club, Wallis Run; and the National Rifle Association. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 844 Howard W. Kahler and Lycoming County Voiture 382, 40 et 8. He was a 1958 graduate of Williamsport High School.

Born May 24, 1940, he was a son of Paul H. and Marian Lent Amoroso.

Surviving are three daughters, Vickie Harvey of Chambersburg, Tina Reighard of Trout Run and Brooke Davis of South Pines, N.C.; a sister, Andrea Zerfing of South Williamsport; and eight grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 635 Hepburn St., with Msgr. Francis J. Castellano, as celebrant. Burial will be in Wildwood with military honors accorded by Korean War veterans of Lycoming County.

Friends may call at Crouse’s, 133 E. Third St. from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday with a recitation of the rosary at 7:30.
