Peggy was born in Gordon County September 29, 1940, daughter of the late Riley Jack Andrew Reeves and Mary Cook Reeves. She was a lifelong resident of Gordon County and was of the Baptist faith. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Medlin, her daughter, Debby Medlin Hall, grandson, Kevin Long and a daughter in law, Shelia Shaw Medlin.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Long and her husband Lamar and Laura Mae Dixon and her husband Rodney, four sons, Donny Medlin, Ellis Medlin and his wife Janet, Tommy Medlin and his wife Shevelle, and Ronnie Medlin and Melanie, one brother, Junior Cox. Seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday November 24th at 12 noon from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwood Springs Baptist Cemetery with Grandsons and Family serving as pallbearers.
