Paul Liddell Pickens of Memphis, Tennessee, age 84, passed away on November 19, 2015. Mr. Pickens was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frankie, his sister, Mabel Downs, and his brothers, Raymond Pickens and Henry Shands Tilman. Mr. Pickens is survived by his daughter, Paula Ryan, his sons, Roger (Patricia) and Kyle Pickens, one brother, Ralph (Juanita) Pickens, two sisters, Helen Lazzareni and Hazel Pitts, one grandson, Ryan Lemay, and one great-granddaughter, Anna Lemay. He also leaves behind his significant partner, Joyce Davis, and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Pickens was an avid Ole Miss fan and an accomplished fisherman, but his real passion in life was singing and playing country music. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 23 from 5-7 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:00 am, all held at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park East, 2440 Whitten Road.
