Rose, Catherine Ann, (nee Heafy) 55, in Saddle River, NJ on November 11, 2015, from Ramsey, NJ. Devoted super-mom of Alyssa Juliana, 18, and Kevin Thomas, 12, also of Ramsey. Her parenting skills, energy and enthusiasm for life and her family radiated a presence that made her stand out above those around her. Cherished daughter of Mary Buchner Heafy, Catherine was the favorite sister to her six siblings and their families: Colleen Ann Heafy and Steven R. Payne, Corrinne Marie and Alan Tischbein, Juliana Heafy, Kevin Edward and Sharon Thiess (deceased) Heafy, William Buchner and Jill Watkins Heafy, and Colin Patrick and Siobhan Amadei Heafy. Catherine was also a doting aunt to 17 nieces and nephews, and two grand nieces. We will all miss her terribly, but we also know how blessed and honored we are to be able to call her mother, daughter, and sister. Catherine was predeceased by her father, Thomas William Heafy, and her niece Marion Catherine Heafy. One of the most positive and empathetic people you will ever meet, Catherine lived her life by the motto of do what you love, and she did just that. Catherine was passionate about the food ingredients industry, working in strategic sourcing, negotiation, materials management, regulatory compliance and process improvement for such industry giants as Häagen-Dazs, Nabisco, and FIS/Nestlé. She has also managed procurement and purchasing for Perry's Ice Cream, Fink Baking, Globe Products/Holly Farms and Champlain Industries/PFI, Inc. In addition, Cate was a past member of the Dun and Bradstreet Purchasing Advisory Council. Catherine attended Rutgers University and studied business administration at Ramapo College in New Jersey. Her most recent role was that of an entrepreneur, co-founding Enterprise Food Products (EFP) in 2004, focusing on clean label GMO-free, and sustainable natural food ingredients. 10 years later, EFPs products are in thousands of products on supermarket shelves and in many national chain restaurants. Her success in business is a tribute not only to her hard work and industry expertise, but to the liked and trusted person that she was. I know her clients and colleagues will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Gabriel's RC Church in Saddle River.

Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.
