The funeral was held Aug. 15, 2010, at God's Outreach Ministries with the Rev. Tim Poindexter officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.
He was a Sussex County, Del., native, earned a certificate from Randleman High School and attended Bailey's Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include mother and stepfather, Margaret and Cliff Griffin of Travelers Rest, S.C.; sister, Kelly Hicks of Asheboro; stepmother, Bonnie Potts of Asheboro; stepsister, Bonnie Watson of Asheboro; stepbrothers, Johnny Barfield and Matt Barfield, both of Asheboro.
