James Albert Goforth, 85, passed away Nov. 19, 2015 at CaroMount Health, Gastonia. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 a the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, S.C. Mr. Goforth was born May 2, 1930 in York County, S.C. to the late Sylvanus T. and Mattie McMackin Goforth.
He was the widower of Helen Barnett Goforth, a past member of the S.C. National Guard and retired from York Electric.
Survivors include two sons and a sister; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
