Randy Dale Kelly was born March 31, 1958, in Salinas, CA, to Clinton "Dale" and Norma Gerea (Lookadoo) Kelly. He graduated from Alisal High School in Salinas and also lived n San Jose, Hollister and at Freemont's Peak. He attended San Jose State and Harnell College. He worked at Lacey's Auto Parts in Salinas for 10 years and became a counselor at Hoizon South Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in San Jose. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and Alcoholics Anonymous.

Randy was a hard working, intelligent man and loved the freedom of country life as a modern day mountain man, living life his own way and was loved by many. He was most proud of being a counselor for Horizon South. He enjoyed working on motors, fishing, being a cowboy and loved his dogs like children.

Survivors of Randy Dale Kelly include: His mother; Norma Kelly. Sister; Barbara (Gerea) Kelly, Independence, KS. Niece and Nephew; Lacey Helkenberg and Billy Dias, other extended family, and his beloved service dog, Sonja.
