Phillip Jordan, 79, passed away November 17, 2015 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. .Phillip Lynn Jordan was born February 14, 1936 to Harvey P. and Audrey Hope (Severson) Jordan in Ames, Iowa. Phillip and Nona Hill were united in marriage on July 15, 1955 in Huxley. Early on Phillip was a truck driver. He then worked in the Farm Service Department for Iowa State University. After retiring from Iowa State University, he worked part-time at Ditch Witch as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, going to Meskwaki, and was a fan of NASCAR and the Iowa Hawkeyes.Phillip is survived by three children, Jim (Sherry) Jordan of Ankeny, Don Jordan of Maxwell and Brian Jordan of Huxley; three grandchildren, Heather (Bo) Carpenter of Bondurant, Jenny (Clint) Bishop of Bondurant and Coleton Hamilton of Ankeny; one great-grandchild, Payton Carpenter, with Paisley Carpenter arriving in January 2016; his brother, Rollin Jordan of Ames; and his sister, Twila (Everett) Henderson of Altoona.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Nona in February of 2008.
