He was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Holts Summit, the son of the late Kenneth Estil and Edna Elizabeth (Hayes) Jinson.
He was married to Carolyn Scheppers Strope who still survives.
James worked for the Missouri Hotel and Von Hoffman Press.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; four siblings, David (Joann) Jinson; Donald Jinson; Leroy (Bonnie) Jinson; Dorothy Harland;; and all his extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Stevenson; and three brothers, Jerry Jinson, Bill Baker, and Estil Jinson.
Graveside service were held 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. 2015, at Longview Cemetery.
