He was born February 18,1911,Kokomo,Indiana.
He was the son of Hubert"HOWE"Chowning and Mary Watkins Chowning Ennis.He was married to Margret Rienhart on December 27,1930,and she survives.
He was a tool and die maker at Knolls Tool and die.He retired in 1973.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge,Williamsburg,Indiana.

Fureral services were held 10 a.m Wednesday at the Baird-Freeman Furneral Home with Rev.Herschel Burkett officiating.There was a graveside service held at 1p.m at the Dale Cemetery,Connersville,Indiana.Burial followed.Calling hours were Tuesday 2pm - 5 pm and 7 pm - 9pm.
