Susanna was the oldest of nine known children born to Edward Crossett and Elizabeth Cady of Shutesbury, Mass. and Duxbury, Vermont. She was married in Amherst, Mass. on 19 March 1794 to Jabez Hendrick (1769-1851), the son of James Hendrick and Lois Beaman of Amherst. She died within three years of her marriage, with no surviving children, after which Jabez married in Amherst 2 Feb 1797 Sally Henry, the daughter of Samuel Henry. Jabez named one of his daughters Susanna Crossett Hendrick, after his first wife. The burial location for Susanna has not been determined, but it appears that her husband never left Amherst between his marriage to her and his marriage to his next wife, so she is undoubtedly buried there.
