Mr. Ross was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him.
Mr. Ross retired from Kimberly Clark as an electrical superintendant after 35 years of service. He was a member of the IBEW Local 505. A Past Master at Lodge 804 Pentalhia. Johnny loved to serve people in any way he was needed. Johnny had the opportunity to hold and serve in many positions with the Abba Shrine Temple for 18 years, which included Treasure of Divan, Emeritus with Director's Staff and Shriner of the year. He also loved the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Hilda Ross, Sr. and his brother, George Walter Ross. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 wonderful years, Donnie Thomas Ross; two children, Daphne Rebecca Ross and Johnny James Ross, III; one brother, William "Buddy" (Virginia) Ross; sister-in-law, GeorgeAnn Ross; two grandchildren, Stephen (Amy) Elms and Elaina Elms; one great granddaughter, Harper Elms; nieces, nephews, many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am until the funeral service time at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital.
