His son, James Alfred Abbott, first wife of Ethel Margaret (Huddle) Abbott passed on March 20, 1920. James and Ethel had 3 children of Orville, Otis, and Wilbur.
James second wife was Nettie Sarrah (Musser) Abbott and three additional children were born with the first names of Charles, Robert, and Doris. James Alfred Abbott and wife, Nettie, are in the 1930 and 1940 census in Fall River County, South Dakota.
Son, James, passes in 1956 and is buried beside his first wife of Ethel Margaret (Huddle) Abbott in Emerick Cemetery, Madison County, Nebraska.
Lastly, his daughter of Grace Mae (Abbott) Jordal married Simon L Jordal in 1920. Grace and Simon are both buried here in the Hillside Cemetery, Oelrichs, Fall River County, South Dakota.
