Mary Emma Miller Mankin, age 98, of Murfreesboro died at her home Friday surrounded by her family. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Robert Grant and Isolowe Hoover Miller. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Tommy Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Dilton Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Mary (James)Mitchell of Nashville, Thelma Mankin of Murfreesboro, Pete (Soozie)Mankin of Dallas and Linda (Charles) Puffenbarger of Murfreesboro; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raybon Mankin; three children, Janie Ruth Mankin, Peggy Marie Mankin and Carl Edwards Mankin; a granddaughter Arlene Rae Dismukes; and a brother, Elroy Miller.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
