Elmer Brewer was born on June 12, 1927 to the couple Dennis and Madie Parris Brewer in Melvin, Oklahoma.
Mr. Brewer served in the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged. He made many friends during his lifetime. He spent many years working for Jack Harrison Tire Center.
He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church for many years. Later in his life, he united with Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Vanzelen Brown, Sr.
His parents, two sisters Mozella Johnson and Marjorie Chism, four brothers: J.D. Arethal, O.D. and Poochie Brewer and a daughter Alma J. Brewer preceded him in death.
Elmer is survived by one sister, Thelma McDonald, Wagoner, OK, one brother Herman Brewer, Tucson, AZ, a special friend and companion Vivian Mills, six children: Lerliese Mills, Muskogee, OK, LaRita L. Sheppard (Roschan), Oklahoma City, Edward L. Mills (Rosalyn), Upland, CA, Shermita T. Mills (Chris), Regina C. Mills, and Terrance L. Mills, all of Muskogee, OK, along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that loved him.
The final salute to Mr. Brewer will be given on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 701 Altamont. Reverend Vanzelen G. Brown, Pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery. You may visit Mr. Brewer, as he slumbers at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 6:00 PM.
Mr. Elmer Brewer, after 88 years, passed from life to everlasting on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
The final salute to Mr. Brewer will be given on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 701 Altamont. Reverend Vanzelen G. Brown, Pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery. You may visit Mr. Brewer, as he slumbers at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 6:00 PM.
