-Born about 1745/1750, possibly North Carolina
- Father: Thomas Newborn b. 1730, Bertie County, NC
-Served in Revolutionary War, years unknown...war duration = 1775-1783
-Lived in Edgecombe County, North Caroina
-Son, Thomas Jr., born there in 1770
-A Thomas Newbern married Elizabeth Sparkman in 1788, not sure it is the same one
-Moved from Edgecombe, NC to South Carolina with his family
-His son Thomas Jr. 's and family wound up moving to GA with them as well
-1790 recorded as living in Cheraw District, SC
-Moved from SC to Georgia
-1800 Recorded in Montgomery Co., GA Militia
-1806 Recorded in Montgomery Co., GA Tax Digest
-1819 Receives a Land Draw for Laurens County, GA
-Presumably he moved to Laurens Co., GA because of the location of the land that he received during the draw, but I haven't found records showing he actually lived there. He most likely died in GA, since he was living in the state, probably Laurens County. Death date is either 1819 or 1837. This is all the documentation I have found so far.
*Burial is unknown.
