He will be sadly missed by his four great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Claire Bravener and his wife, Shirley, Helen Iles and Alma Johnson, all of Owen Sound.
Predeceased by his parents, Francis Margaret Bravener, his two brothers, Mike and Howard Bravener and his sister, Olive Moulton.

A Funeral Service for William Bravener was held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, February 5th, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Claire Miller officiating.
Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara, Ontario. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association as your expression of sympathy.
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #6, will hold a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Bill was born in Owen Sound, Ontario on August 11, 1920, to Frank and Margaret
Bravener. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy Regular Force in April 1941
and served during World War II on HMCS Camrose as a Stoker First Class
scouring the Atlantic looking for German U-Boats. He was discharged in
September 1945. After discharge, Bill married Florence Gibbons on May 4, 1946
and they had three children: Brian, Bonny and Patty. Bill worked at Black Clawson
Kennedy before enlistment and at Great Lake Elevators on discharge. In 2001, he
was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from The Royal Canadian Legion
Owen Sound Branch 6 recognizing his contribution to the community. Bill passed
away on February 2, 2005 and is buried in the Tara Hillcrest Cemetery
