Lawrence Edward Webber, 98, Stanberry, died Dec. 17, 2000, at a Stanberry health care center. Mr. Webber, a farmer, was born Dec. 30, 1901, and was a lifelong resident of Stanberry. He attended a rural Gentry County school. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Stanberry. On Nov. 8, 1924, Mr. Webber married Anna Laura Searcy; she died in 2000. Mr. Webber also preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bertha; two sisters, Ollie Jacoby and Golda Stafford. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Ross, Maysville and Jean Wayman, Hamilton, TX.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Services were held Dec. 19 at Johnson Funeral Home with burial in High Ridge Cemetery, both in Stanberry.
