Kim was born on April 16, 1981 in Des Moines to Larry and Patty Byers. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1999. She was in gymnastics and played softball.
Kim worked for Avis/Budget for over 13 years. She loved animals and had a large collection of pets. Kim, or “Kimmy” as her many friends called her, was very social, outgoing and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. In her short time on earth she touched many lives, gave lots of hugs and made the lives of those around her better.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Hazel Byers; her sister, Jody Byers and her nephew, Christopher Byers.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
