ROSEVILLE - Tina Lou Walker, 59, of Roseville, Ill., passed away and went home to be with the Lord at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015.

She was born Friday, Dec. 2, 1955, the daughter of Richard and Marie (Corzatt) Walker.

Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend is survived by her father, Richard Walker of Roseville, Ill.; and brother, Roger (Susan) Walker of Dallas, Ga. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Sarah Walker of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Stephen (Julia) Walker of Carrollton, Ga., David Walker of Tampa, Fla., Naavah Walker and great-nephew, Gideon Walker, of Jerusalem, Israel, Alyssa Snyder of Kennesaw, Ga., Matthew Snyder of Dallas, Ga., and Patrick (Courtney) Snyder and great-nephews, Sawyer and Maddux Snyder, of Villa Rica, Ga.; aunts, Evelyn Shimmin of Roseville, Ill., Patricia Downs of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Erva Corzatt of Roseville, Ill.; and uncle, Clyde Kneen of Roseville, Ill.; as well as her many friends she shared a home with in Monmouth.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Walker; and nephew, Matthew Walker.

She was raised in rural Roseville and she attended special education classes and first grade through high school in Monmouth, Ill.

She celebrated her 41st anniversary working at Warren Achievement Industries. Tina lived in a Warren Achievement group home in Monmouth for many years.

She attended the First Christian Church in Monmouth, helping in many areas of the church, Tina enjoyed meeting people and the church potlucks.

Tina participated in many Special Olympic events.

Her endearing personality shone through and she easily made friends everywhere she travelled, never meeting a stranger. Tina touched a lot of people in her almost 60 years of life.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home in Monmouth, Ill. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, Nov. 19, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Warren Achievement in Monmouth, Monmouth Christian Church, or Warren County Special Olympics.
