Mike served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, and earned a purple heart in Iwo Jima. Mike married Mabel R. Petro, and she preceded him in death in 2002.
He was in the restaurant industry for over 40 years, and was the owner of “El Toro Supper Club” and the “Union Bar” both located in Hudson, WY.
He was a member of the Church of Ascension Catholic Church, the American Legion, and the VFW. Mike was very active in the Democratic Party, and ran for the U.S. senate in the state of Wyoming in 1972.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Mary H. Sukup (Jim); son, Lyle Vinich (Carol); grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
