4th Duke of Richmond, 4th Duke of Lennox, 4th Duke of Aubigny- A Scottish soldier and politician and Governor General of British North America.

"Beneath are deposited the mortal remains of Charles, Duke of Richmond, Lennox and Aubigny." The Duke was Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in Canada at the time of his death, and as such was entitled to be buried in the Cathedral; his tomb is situated beneath the Sanctuary in front of the Alter. He died, supporting to the last the torments of hydrophbia with undaunted constancy, on the 28th day of August, 1819
