Carole M. (Bouffard) Lee, 72, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Lee Sr., died peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at a local convalescent home.
She was born on August 27, 1942 in Biddeford, ME, the daughter of Joseph Bouffard of South Windsor and the late Lucille (Bertrand) Bouffard. Carole grew up in Biddeford, ME and was a graduate of East Hartford High School.
She was married to her husband Robert in 1961 and together they settled in South Windsor in 1967. Carole was widowed in 1971 and raised her family on her own. She became actively involved with parents without partners.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She worked as an administrative assistant for Gannett Fleming Inc. and Cigna.
Carole enjoyed knitting, crocheting, piano playing and bingo. She took her family camping all over New England, enjoyed boating in Rhode Island and Disney World.
A kind, caring and devoted daughter, mother and grandmother, Carole always put her family first. She will be greatly missed.
Along with her father Joseph of South Windsor, she leaves her son, Gary Lee and his wife Leslie of South Windsor; and her granddaughter, Chelsea Lee of South Windsor. She was predeceased by her sons, Robert E. Lee Jr. and Kenneth Lee and her grandson Cameron Lee.
