Andrew J. Childers, age 76, of Louisville, passed away Monday, March 18 at Humana Hospital Suburban. He was a native of Wayne County and a retired welder for Caldwell Tank Company.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Joyce Drane, Mrs. Thelma Gibson, Mrs. Phillis Glasscock and Mrs. Donna Kidd; three sons, David, Clarence and Andrew Childers; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Davidson, Mrs. Laura Roark and Mrs. Linnie Stinson; two brothers, Frank and Elmer Winfrey, 25 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held march 22 with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Andrew was the grandson of the late James and Julia Childers of Wayne County and a cousin of Rusha Childers Dick of Louisville, Kentucky.
