Jim B. Young, 87, of Delphos, died Monday, November 16, 2015, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born June 4, 1928, in Spencerville, the son of Clair and Hilda (Davenport) Young, who both preceded him in death. On September 25, 1954, he married Mary “Helen” (Stocklin) Young, who died May 6, 2012.

Survivors include four daughters, Virginia (David) Zwiebel of Wapakoneta, Mary Ann (Kim) Mitchner of Findlay, Kelly (Brian) Pancake of Van Wert, and Jackie (Don) Fisher of Delphos; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Nelrose White and Joan Whitling; and two brothers, Jay and Jack Young, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 20, at Harter and Schier Memorial Chapel in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Spencerville, where graveside military honors will be rendered by the Spencerville Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 19, at the funeral home.
