Celebration of Life for Deacon Sam Morgan of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 - 12:00 noon at Spring Hill Baptist Church 396 NE Lake Laurel Road Milledgeville, Georgia. The interment will follow at The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Deacon Morgan was called home from labor to reward on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He was a devoted lifelong member of Spring Hill Baptist Church where he served faithfully and was Chairman of The Deacon Board. Deacon Morgan was a graduate of Boddie High School in 1965 and was the current class president. He was a member of The American Legion Post #523 of Milledgeville, Georgia. His memory will always be in the hearts of his loving and caring wife of forty - four wonderful years, Mrs. Bernice Travis Morgan, his children, Christopher (Evita) Willis of Milledgeville, Georgia, Tonya (Woodie Jr.)Hughes of Warner Robbins, Georgia, and Samuel Jermaine Morgan of Milledgeville, Georgia, three brothers, Joseph (Gladys)Ward , Larry Morgan both of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Michael Morgan of Atlanta, Georgia, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a loving host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews , other family and friends.
