She was born June 3, 1934 in Webster City, Iowa the daughter of Samuel Glen Martin and Kathryn Mae (Bozell) Hersom.
JoAnne was a CNA at Shawnee Development for a brief period as well as a housewife and mother. She was a Key Lady at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home. She loved to travel and was very interested in church activities. JoAnne was a member of First Christian Church in Anna and Countryside Christian Church in Vienna.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Meachelle) Hoffman of Dongola; Sharol (Tom) Carter of Virginia, IL, Jeanette Hoffman of Vienna, Loran (Carol) Hoffman of Dongola; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bryon Hoffman; daughter, Eileen Cruse; son Bryon Hoffman II.
