She was born on July 11, 1951, in South Bend, to the late Anthony and Valeria (Niespojohny) Homer and was a lifelong area resident.
On June 19, 1971 she married Harold Ryan, who survives. Also surviving are her two sons, Sean (Michelle) Ryan of South Bend and Todd (Kelly) Ryan of Niles; five grandchildren, Sarah Jones, Brandon Rollins, Aiyana Hagan, Sarah Ryan and Jolie Ryan; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara (Robert) Hasse of Osceola and Phyllis (David) Myers of Punta Gorda, FL.
She worked for 16 years at Automatic Molded Plastics in South Bend and for 17 years as a contracted carrier for the South Bend Tribune.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday November 20, 2015, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
