Nathan Brooks, 39, of Mason City, died Thursday (November 12, 2015) at his home in Mason City.

Nathan Blake Brooks was born August 8, 1976 in Mason City, the son of Randy and Kristi (Bolson) Brooks.

He graduated from Mason City High School in 1995, before enlisting in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1999.

Nate married Carrie Priebe on April 1, 1998 at St. James Lutheran Church in Mason City. They later divorced, but remained close friends.

Nate worked many places over the years, but he was most proud of his work at Metal Fabrications Inc. in Clear Lake, where he worked as a powdercoater, welder, and fabricator.

His priority in life centered on his three children and new grandson. Those that knew Nate knew his infectious laughter and smile.

Nate was preceded in death by his, maternal grandparents, Raymond and Marilyn Bolson; paternal grandparents, Delmar and Marcella Brooks, and an aunt, Karen Bolson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Monday (November 16, 2015) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City.
