John Wesley Cornish departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri on November 14, 2015 at the age of 56.
He was born January 23, 1959 in Monett, Arkansas to Clarence Cornish and Pauline Perkins Cornish.
John attended the Monett school system and then Cotton Boll VO Technical School in Burdett, Arkansas.
In 2005, in Denton, MO John was united in marriage to Sharon Dinning.
He loved to do yard work, collect antiques, go fishing and hunting. He was also very knowledgable about Native American history and American Wars. He was of the Southern Baptist faith.
He is survived by his parents, Clarence and Pauline Cornish, his wife, Sharon Cornish, three sons, Wes Cornish, Ryan Cornish, and Adam Cornish, one step daughter, Jerrie Smith, one step son Devin Reeves, three sisters, Kathy, Shirley and Janet, two brothers, Tony and Ernest, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11:00 in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Interment ibn Little Prairie Cemetery.
