Johnie Barnes, 76, died Saturday at home after a long, courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. He retired to Lake Texoma in 2004, with travel and leisure plans after having spent more than 40 years in the used car business. Johnie was with Scott Chevrolet and Eskridge Olds before opening Barnes Mtrs in 1973. He was born and raised in Lexington, OK.Johnie was preceded in death by parents Coy and Opal Barnes, Purcell, OK. He is survived by wife Marcella, sons: Scott, Brian and Brent of OKC, and grandson, Michael, Vicenza, IT, sisters: Joyce O'Neal, Lake Texoma, Norma Holloway, OKC, Yvonne Boatright, Lexington and brother, Thomas Barnes, Harrah as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A family memorial will be held Friday at Springhill Free Will Baptist in Lexington, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army, OKC, Texoma Southern Baptist, Kingston, OK or Springhill Free Will Baptist in Lexington, OK.
