Loretta Myra Bettis, age 72, of Kansas City, KS
passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at her home.

Private family Funeral services will be at a later date.

Myra was born May 5, 1941 in Kansas City, KS
daughter of Orville and Verda Pruett Swenson
and has been a life long area resident.

She was a graduate of Pittsburg State University and KCKCC
and was a teacher at AVTS, USD 500 in Desktop Publishing.
She was a member of AVA, KVA, KNEA, NEA, VICA Advisor,
KCK Eagles, Ill., KS, MO, TN, and KY Geneology Societies, IGAF
and St. Martin's Lutheran Church.
She had worked as a secretary at the Piper Elementary School.
She loved working on the computer especially on Geneology
and was a master at making scrapbooks for her family.

She was preceded in death by her brother Albert W. Swenson.

And is survived by her three children
Robin Novak of Boiling Springs, SC;
Cheryl Bettis of Kansas City, KS;
and Albert Bettis of Bonner Springs, KS.
Her mother Verda Swenson and two sisters Leigh Johnston and Jean Ray Kirk.
Four grandchildren Tom, Amber, Allison and Manuela
and Seven great grandchildren.
