Lee Elmer Bryant, a longtime resident of Schulter, passed away on Monday, November 16th, 2015 in Tulsa at the age of 65. Lee was born on June 28, 1950 in Beckley, West Virginia to Harley Dewey Bryant and Martha Jane Roark Bryant. Lee moved to Schulter at approximately 8 years old. He attended Schulter Public Schools during his formative years and graduated from Schulter High School in 1968. Following his school years, Lee worked as an engineer for Zebco for approximately 18 years. He also worked for 21st Century Investment Company as a pumper in the oilfield for a number of years, where he inspected oil and gas wells. Lee was a longtime member of the Schulter Methodist Church and he served for approximately 12 years on the Schulter School Board. Lee recently retired from the Okmulgee Water Department where he had worked as an operator. Lee is a loving son, brother, father, husband and grandfather and he will be missed by the many who loved him. Lee was married to Tammy Talburt on September 2, 2006 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and they remained happily together for the past nine years. Lee is preceded in death by his mother and his father; a son, Steven Bryant; his first wife, Linda Bryant; a father-in-law, Ray Rhyne; and a brother-in-law, Vernon Ward. A funeral service for Lee is set for Thursday morning, November 19, 2015 at 10:00am at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta with Kris Mayberry and Rev. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
