Born October 10, 1935 on a farm in rural Brewer, Missouri, to Joseph Julian and Mamie Elizabeth (Franklin) Brewer. He died Sunday, November 15, 2015, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years. Jack was reared and educated in Perryville, Missouri, and was a graduate of Perryville High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne and was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal and Parachutist Badge. He was married July 10, 1954, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to Velma Fadler. Jack spent much of his working life in highway construction as a superintendent with different companies including Koss, S.J. Groves, and Granite Road Construction. He gave time back to his community and was a member of the Shriner’s, American Legion, and the Optimist Club. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as playing the guitar, woodworking, fishing, reading, especially history, and rock collecting.

• His wife of over 61 years; Velma, of the home
• Four children;
o Linda Turner and husband Lester, of Nashville, Tennessee
o Cheri Briggs and husband John, of McGregor, Texas
o Rhonda Lutz and husband Jim, of St. Louis, Missouri
o Todd Brewer and wife Dina, of Republic, Missouri
• Grandchildren; Jeff Gilliland and wife Jennifer, Adam Goldenberg and wife Kristy, Ashley Goldenberg and husband Brandon, Holly Nelson, Justin Brewer and wife Lauren, Lindsay Riedy and husband Scott, Katie Hamilton and husband Chris, Kylie Briggs, Brennen Nelson, Evan Uhlenbrock, Christopher Brewer, Leah Uhlenbrock, Sarah Brewer, Haley Brewer, and Thomas Brewer.
• 16 great grandchildren
• Five brothers; Joseph Percy Brewer, Thomas Leon Brewer, Joseph Wayne Brewer, Larry James Brewer, Michael Allen Brewer
• Five sisters; Doris Ann Fiehler, Wanda Marie Kreitler, Judith Ann Clausen, Myrna Elizabeth Flood, and Karen Jean Burnett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Brewer; daughter, Kim Nelson and a brother, Joseph Julian Brewer, Jr.
