HARTSVILLE — Robert Jay Wilkes, Jr., 46, died July 6, 2008 at his home. A graveside service was held July 10, 2008 at Wilkes Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Wilkes, born in Hartsville, S.C. a son of Robert Jay “Bobby” Wilkes, Sr. and Margaret Wallace Odom. He retired from the restaurant business and attended Wilkes Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: daughter, Casey Roscoe of Wallace; father, Bobby (Barbara) Wilkes of Chesterfield;
mother, Margaret Odom of Florence; grandson, Justin Oxendine of Wallace; brothers, Harvey Wilkes of Chesterfield, and James Wilkes of Florence; sisters, Diane Lee of Chesterfield, and Nancy Roberson of Hartsville;
special caregiver, Bonnie Wilkes of Chesterfield.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
