Mr. Hardman was cremated and his ashes will be buried at a later date.
Jerry was born on Oct. 3, 1940 in Paris, MO, the son of Raymond Russell and Merle Frances (Rouse) Hardman.
He was first married to Linda M. Stegemann on April 11, 1964 at St. Brendan Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 1988. He later married Marie Sherrill on March 30, 1990 in Lake Ozark, MO.
He was retired from National Refractories. He enjoyed classic cars and riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by his children; Chris Knipfel and husband Jerry of Mexico, Mike Hardman and wife Wendy of Centralia, Angie Poage of Ashland; two step-sons, Steven Woodson of Cheyenne, WY and Mark Woodson of Lake Ozark, MO; grandchildren, Ashley Davis of Kansas City, Brittnay Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Anna Knipfel of Mexico, Dustin Knipfel of Montgomery City, Baylee Hardman of Columbia, Conner Hardman of Centralia, Nicholas Smith of Auxvasse and Holly Smith of Ashland and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife Linda, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Michael Hardman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the J.B. and Greeta B. Arthur Cancer Center or the donor’s choice.
