Diane P. Sanders, (Nee Caldwell )Found peace Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the age of 80.

Diane P. Sanders (Nee Caldwell) Diane was the only child born to the union of Albert and Johnnie V. Caldwell on September 17, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended Milwaukee Public Schools, graduating with honors from North Division High School. Diane was baptized at an early age and later accepted Christ in the catholic faith at St. Benedict the Moor Church.

In 1948, she met Henderson Sanders, Jr., and they were united in holy matrimony in Waukegan, Illinois on November 25, 1952. Together they shared 63 years of marriage. From this union, they were blessed to raise six children.

Diane was an active member of St. Martin De Porres Parish (formally St. Elizabeth's) for over 50 years, serving as an acolyte, minister of the word, and church secretary. She remained active until her health declined and she was unable to attend regular worship. Diane was the matriarch of the family, and worked many days as a devoted community advocate and volunteer. She was secretary/acting administrator at Harambee Community School and also served on their Board of Directors. Diane coordinated fund raising projects and spearheaded the Corn Roast Booth at Summerfest in 1969. Her tireless efforts and Christian beliefs were instilled throughout her family and surrounding community. She was also an active member of the Knights of St. Peter Claver, Ladies Auxiliary Court #304 for 27 years where she held various offices.

Visitation at St. Martin de Porres Parish, 3114 North 2nd Street, Milwaukee, WI, Monday, November 16, 9:00-11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Faith at 11:00 AM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, cherished grandmother, Sally (Sims) Natt; loving uncle, Granville Natt; son-in-law, Michael Harris; and a host of many relatives and dear friends.

"Keep your eyes and ears open, mouth closed, stay focused, and trust God!"

Diane's 80 years were full of love and strength. All who were able to share in the experience of her nurturing love will be left with fond memories.
