It is with great sadness that the family of Terry Paul Allen announces his peaceful passing after a two-year courageous fight with pancreatic cancer, Saturday November 7, 2015, at the age of 67 years.

Terry is lovingly remembered by his mother, Alice, his three children, Austin Allen (Alecia), Amy Thornburg, and Angela Smith (Brian). Terry is also affectionately remembered by his seven grandchildren, Charles, Myles, Grant, Adryelle, Andrew, Lauren, and Leah, by his sisters, Joan Kendig and Judy LaFollette and brother, Sherman Allen (Mary) as well as many other relatives and friends. He was welcomed in heaven by his father, Paul.

No one who met Terry forgot his amazing optimism, zest for life, and love for his family. Terry enjoyed socializing with friends, dancing, and singing. He had an unforgettable sense of humor and found great joy in making people of all ages laugh. His strength, courage, and relentlessness through his cancer astounded us all. Terry's final career was with Stew Hansen Dodge.

A Funeral Service in memory of Terry will be held on Monday, November 16, at 10:30a.m., at the Lutheran Church of Hope (Ankeny location), 520 NW 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50023. A luncheon at the church will follow. Family will be accepting visitors before the funeral beginning at 9:30 a.m.
