Charles W. Hamilton, aged 72 years, retired farmer of near Otter Creek Church, died at 9:35 o'clock Sunday morning at his home in Brazil R, R, 1 after an illness of two years.
He was born in Illinois, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton and had resided in this community for many years.
Survivors are four sons and six daughters, James, Omer, Charles and Lafe Hamilton, of Brazil R. R. 1; Mrs. Nora Gentz, of Duquoin, Ill; Mrs. Madeline Hutcheson and Mrs. Olive Hutcheson of Greencastle; Mrs. Grace Ratcliff of Brazil R. R. 5 and Mrs. Edwina Thompson and Mrs Melvina Pell of Harmony; also a sister Mrs. Arthur Vincent of Wolf Lake, Ill. Also 23 grandchildren.
The body was taken to Miller & Sons Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev. Mrs. Emma Estes officiating, burial Bee Ridge cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home any time after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
