Dr. Danny Ervin "Dan" Brewer, 65, formerly of Tabernacle, NJ, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Maria Parham Healthcenter. He was a Logan, West Virginia native born to Clarence "Jiggs" Brewer and Isabella Diamond Brewer. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, David Keith Brewer, and his brother, David Todd Brewer. Dan was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served in Vietnam.

Upon returning from Vietnam, Mr. Brewer spent many years furthering his education and received numerous degrees which include: AA in General Business from Southern West Virginia Community College, his AS in Business Accounting from Southern West Virginia Community College, his BSBA in Accounting from Xavier University, his MBA in Management from Xavier University, his MS in Quality Systems Management from Anna Maria College and his ED.D in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

He was a longtime employee for the US Army Corps of Engineers and the US Army Civil Service with the Department of Defense. Currently he was President of New Paradigm QualiTech since 1996 and was a Faculty Member of the National Graduate School of Quality Management DBA and MSQSM Programs..

A celebration of Dan's life will be held at a later date.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Gallagher Brewer; his daughter, Heather Brewer Mitchell and husband, Kenny, of Gilbert W.Va.; his sister, Vicki Lynn Brewer of Gilbert, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Ashley Grimett, Christopher Grimmett II and Dakota Mitchell; brother-in-law, Thomas Gallagher of Browns Mills, NJ; niece, Paula Shannon and husband, Trampas, of Hanover, W.Va.; nephew, Joseph Stanley of Gilbert, W.Va.; great nieces, Paisley Shannon and Poppy Grace Shannon; and his great nephew, Logan Shannon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Churchill Volunteer Fire Department or to the Longbridge Volunteer Fire Department.

Arrangements are by Blaylock Funeral Home in Littleton.
