He loved all his family, friends and sports. He especially enjoyed the Pacers, Colts, Purdue and pro-golf and also all the beagle dogs he had over the years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Darel McKinzie Core; granddaughter, Chelsea Core of New Orleans; daughter-in-law, Lee Core, of Sidell, La.; and nieces Mary Helen Jacobs and Cathy Jo (Wilbur) Ricker.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles A. Core.
He willed his body to Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Anatomy in Indianapolis.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society for Hamilton County, 1721 Pleasant St. in Noblesville.
