James "JC" C. Penny, Sr., 67, of Arcanum, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, November 15, 2015 at State of the Heart Hospice, with his loving family by his side. James was born in Greenville on May 7, 1948, to the late Ellison L. and Ethel L. (Minnich) Penny. J.C. enjoyed playing cards, cornhole, fishing, riding his scooter and spending time with friends and family. In addition to his parents, J. C. is preceded in death by his wife Sandra E. (Fiste) Penny and his infant daughter Francis Gail Lynn Penny. J. C. is survived by his four sons James C. (Melissa) Penny, Jr. of New Madison, Jonathon (Deana Thompson) Penny of Scotia, CA, Jason (Tonia) Penny of Greenville, and Jeremiah Penny of Greenville; seven grandchildren Marah (Dillon) Davis, Amber, Sarah, Ashley, Scott Grossi, James and Chloe; two step grandchildren Caleb and Sydney Oda; two great grandchildren Daniel and Owen Davis; sister Janet Whitley and brother Raymond Penny. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Candy Null officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery.
