Essie Moore was born on December 10, 1927 in Jenkins Georgia to the late Clarence and Lorena George.

She was educated in the Public School of Jenkins, Georgia. She was converted at an early age.

Later her family moved to Fort Lauderdale, She transferred her membership to Mount Hermon A.M.E. Church. She was a member of Fredricka Glass Stewardess Boards. She loved her church and attended as long as her health permitted.

Essie was spirited, kind and loving to all she encounter. She greeted everyone with open arms and often sacrificed her own needs to assure her family would be comfortable.
She enjoyed the fellowship that sustained her during her illness from her Pastor, church family and friends who visited her at her home and The Palms Rehab and Health Center.
Essie was preceded in death by her husband John Moore, one son: Ralph George, one sister, Lorena Collins.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son: Larry Moore (Gail); three grandchildren: Cedric Moore, Brad George, and Brandy George; one great grandson: Jeremy Moore; one daughter-in-law: Vivian George, and a host of extended relatives and friends.
